When it comes to confrontations, not every situation is going to require a high level of force to resolve it. Some situations can be resolved through dialogue and an aggressor can be verbally de-escalated.
Sometimes however, the other guy will refuse to back down, no matter you say. If the other guy is drunk especially, they can be quite difficult to talk any sense into.
In some situations like that, you may not want to use a high level of force to resolve things. The other guy may just be at that stage where they are building themselves up to a higher level of aggression and you may wish to prevent him from getting there without actually knocking him out or doing him any real harm.
This is where the simple slap, or bitch slap, comes in.
A quick slap around the face can often be enough to stop the other guy in his tracks and shock him into backing down.
Don’t underestimate this simple tactic. It works, but only in the right circumstances. Whether or not it works depends on whether or not you think you will get away with doing it, without actually escalating the situation further yourself.
It’s a judgement call. Get it right and you will save yourself further hassle. The other guy will back down and you can both walk away unharmed.
Be prepared though in case things go wrong. Whatever happens, you have nothing to loose. If it works, great. If not, knock the guy out anyway.

Hi Neal, the bitch slap can obviously be useful in a much less life threatening situation but as you said any situation may turn volatile.
By the way Neal, I just want to know how to react when face to face with a person under effects of drugs or alcohol. he is aneastethized and he will not feel almost any pain if you preempt and hit. what kind of approach to either deescalate of reatraint him. I would very much appreciate if you explained through a self protection/defense based video on your website.
